Welcome to everyone’s favorite week, Spirit Week!
The official Spirit Week days start Wednesday with Senior Citizen/Baby Day, Character/Celebrity Day on Thursday, and Red White and Blue day on Friday.
“It’s gonna be the biggest year we’ve ever done,” said SGA president Hannah Scott Avery, “and the pep rally game is gonna be awesome.”
There are many festivities coming up.
For elementary students, there are spirit door and poster contests.
On Wednesday evening, there will be a Powder Puff game for the high school, where girls will be playing football and boys will dress up as Powder Puff Princesses.
At halftime, one Powder Puff Princess will be chosen by Headmaster Dr. Bert Bright.
At the end of the school day on Friday, there will be a pep rally complete with dances, cheers, games, introductions, and . . . CANDY!
On Friday evening, the Homecoming game versus Southampton Academy will begin at 7 o’clock.
And, drum roll please, the Parrott Academy homecoming queen will be announced at halftime.
Voting for the Homecoming Queen will be on Friday during Break.
The middle school dance takes place Friday night after the game, marking an end the festivities of the day.
But wait, the APA volleyball team will be playing in the Coastal Rivers Conference tourney Saturday, Oct. 14, at APA!
